You can help assist the Friends of Hullett by participating in our fundraising endeavors. All proceeds help to maintain the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area. For example, proceeds from raffles may go towards maintaining the wheelchair accessible blinds, upgrades to the parking lots, trail development, youth waterfowl clinics and many other priorities at the marsh.
There are raffles and fundraising dinners during the year as well as the Pheasant Challenge.
All proceeds from the Pheasant Challenge go towards continuing the Friends of Hullett Pheasant Program, as the HPWA is one of the few places left in Ontario that still releases pheasants for the public at no charge. We need your support to continue this release program.
The Friends of Hullett remembers the many friends whose families, upon the passing of their loved ones, have generously donated to the Hullett Marsh in their name. Families and Friends can eternally remember their passed loved ones through the Friends of Hullett Memorial Fund. When a loved one passes on, their friends and family can donate money to the Hullett Marsh in their name. When a donation to the memorial fund is made, the Friends of Hullett will plant a tree in the name of the loved one so they can be remembered always. Along with the tree, the loved one's name is put on the Memorial Fund Plaque, which can be observed within the Friends of Hullett Office.
All donations to the Friends of Hullett are greatly appreciated. Every dollar donated goes directly to helping maintain the Hullett Marsh for your pleasure. Donations are used to sustain this properties diverse habitats, ecosystems, wildlife, game, species at risk and overall majesty. Donations that are over $25.00 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt, a fantastic vehicle decal, seasonal newsletter and voting rights that allow YOU to have a say in changes to the marsh.
Donations are accepted as both cash, cheque and now debit/credit to Friends of Hullett Staff within the office or by email. Donations don't always have to be cash! Donating your time and effort as a volunteer on one of the many Friends of Hullett Work Days is always a very rewarding way to support your community, learn new skills, meet new friends and get back in nature. With your help, we can all help manage and maintain the Hullett Marsh for the enjoyment todays users and tomorrows.
